Your teacher returns a paper that shows a grade of "D" instead of the "B" you expected. When you see the grade, which stage of stress response will you be in?

The answer to this question is that you will be in the 'alarm stage' stress response phase. There are five different stages within any stress response, but the alarm stage is the body's initial reaction to a stressor such as something that will effect you emotionally, like a bad grade. During the alarm stage there will be such symptoms as an increase in heart rate and blood pressure, feelings of fear and anxiety, and a loss in short term memory and the ability to concentrate.
