1.) Write the equation of the line perpendicular to the line x - 5y = -10 and passing through the point (2,5).

2.) Write the equation of the line parallel to the line 10x - 5y = 8 and passing through the point (2,4).

3.) Write the equation of the line parallel to the line 4x + y = -1 and passing through the point (5,0).

4.) Write the equation of the line parallel to the line 4x + 2y = 5 and passing through the point (-3,5).

5.) Write the equation of the line perpendicular to the line x - 3y = 9 and passing through the point (3,5).

1) -5y=-x-10 /:(-5)
y = 1/5 x + 2 m=-5 ( perpendicular lines )
5=(-5)* 2 + b
5 = -10 + b b = 15
y = -5 x+15
2) -5 y = -10x+8
y = 2 x - 8/5 m = 2
4= 2 * 2 + b
4 = 4 + b b=0
y = 2 x
3 ) y = -4 x-1 m = -4
0 = 5*(-4)+b
0 = -20 + b b = 20
y=-4 x+20
4) 2 y = -4 x + 5
y = -2 x + 5/2 m = -2
5 = (-2) * (-3) + b
5 = 6 + b b = -1
y = -2 x - 1
5) -3 y = - x + 9
y = 1/3 x - 3 m = -3
5 = -3*3+b
5 = -9 + b b = 14
y = -3 x + 14
