The correct answer is D. Autosomal chromosome.

An autosomal chromosome is a characteristic which arises from genes which are located in the chromosomes that are not gender-determining. The autosomal trait does not depend on sex.
Its function is to pass genetic traits from mother and father to the child. Traits can be recessive or dominant. When someone has green eyes we say he/she is recessive trait and not dependent on the sex of the child.
In each cell, people have 22 pairs of autosomes plus two sex chromosomes which Y and X in male and XX in the female.
