Answer: A. Bat

Placental mammals are those mammals which provides the placenta for the complete development of fetus. Bats are placental mammals which retains their embryo in it's uterus for the full term of the pregnancy, whereas Koalas and Kangaroos are marsupials. These mammals develop in the uterus initially, then transfers the underdeveloped fetus to the pouch where the development further continues.

Out of the choices given, the mammal that retains its embryo in its uterus for the full term of the pregnancy is the bat. A koala and the kangaroo both carry their babies to term in pouches.
