Given the two points (0,4) and (2, 6), what would the numerator of the equation for slope be?

Hi! The equation for finding the slope given 2 points is
( x_(2) - x_(1))/(y_2-y_1) . With the points given, we can plug those into the equation, giving
(6-4)/(2-0), which is the same as 2/2, or 1/1. So the numerator, or the top number would just be 1.
