(1)/(2) (x+12)=4x-1

Multiply both sides by 2 :

(1)/(2)(x+12)*2 = 4x*2-1*2

x+12=8x-2

x+12-12=8x-2-12

x=8x-14

Subtract 8 x from both sides:

x-8x=8x-14-8x

-7x=-14

Divide both sides by -7 :

(-7x)/(-7) = (-14)/(7)

x = (14)/(7)

x = 2

1 solution

hope this helps!
