In capitalism, most businesses have a profit motive. Describe at least one reason that businesses with a profit motive may be helpful for society and at least one reason that they may be harmful for society. Then, explain whether you think profit motive is a good thing or a bad thing for society.

Capitalism is the greatest system in the world. A system that merits the individual according to his own creative ideas and ways to make money. By producing or offering a service that the public wants and pays voluntarily for. In a free and open competitive society the consumer will always benefit. What's bad are monopoly's which can only exist though the assistance of government where the consumer has no choice but to submit to the only ONE producing the product or service. Capitalism is the greatest.
