In 1963, Valium, also known as Diazepam, was sold in the United States. This medicine was used to stop anxiety, withdrawal syndrome or seizures, but it has some side effects like dependence and cognitive problems. Despite these side effects, it was commonly used until and represented millionaire profits.

The Cassette Player was also marketed in 1963 by Philips, it became very popular because people could record their own songs in a Cassette and personalize it. The Cassette Player reached its top popularity during the 70s and the 80s but it was replaced but the CD players and later on by the MP3 players.

Finally, the Touch-Tone Phone was also introduced in 1963 by the Bell System. This electronic telephone replaced the previous Rotary dial telephones (or disk telephones) and gave people the option to make calls without an operator.
