x^3 + 2x^2 - 15x

first we can factor out an x

x(x^2 + 2x - 15)

then we find a pair of numbers that multiply to -15 and add up to 2

this would be 5 and -3
because 5 times -3 = -15
and -3 + 5 = 2

we would then get

x(x-3)(x+5)

this would be you answer :)
