Answer:

x = 4

Explanation:

(First write the equation down)

3 ( x + 4 ) = 6x

(Then use the disstributive property)

3 times x and 3 times 4

3x + 12 = 6x

(Now subtract the same values aka 3x from both sides)

3x - 3x cancels out aka is 0

6x - 3x is 3x

(You now have...)

12 = 3x

(Now you divide both sides by 3)

12/ 3 = 3x/3

12 divided by 3 is 4

the two 3s cancel out leaving you with x

(You now have your answer)

4 = x

(Write it in proper format)

x = 4
