For the equation y= the square root of x^2-4, dertermine the domain and range?

Since the function is a square root, the range is 0 to infinity. At y = 0, x = 2,-2, therefore domain is from negative infinity to -2, and 2 to positive infinity. Any value between -2 and 2 results to an imaginary y.
