from the relation of
sin(x)^2 + cos(x)^2 = 1
(0.42)^2 + cos(x)^2 = 1
cos(x)^2 = 1 - (0.42)^2
cos(x) = √(1-(0.42)^2)
cos(x) = 0.9075
