I think your suppose to combine like terms to find your answer.... Like for example 5x+2=6x+11
what I did first was combine my x's which is 5x+6x is 11x
then I added 2+11 and that gave me 13 so I put it together and got 11x+13

Hi Brainiac

5x+2=6x+11

Before we know if it is true or false the first thing we need to do is to solve the equation

5x+2=6x+11

Combine like terms

5x-6x=11-2

-x=9

Divide both sides by -1

-x/-1 = 9/-1

x=-9

Now we gonna replace -9 everywhere we find x

5x+2=6x+11

5(-9)+2= 6(-9)+11

-45+2 = -54+11

-43 = -43

Yes The equation is true because as you can see the both sides of the equation equal to each other.

I hope that's help and good luck :)

Please if you have question(s) about something you don't really understand you can just ask and I will try my best.

Have a great summer :)
