6x4=24 guppies 1st month
24x4=96 guppies 2nd mo.
96x4=384 ,3rd mo.
384x4=1,536, 4th mo.
1,536x4=6,144, 5th mo.
6,144x4=24,575, 6th mo.
So, A.

Answer: a)24,576

Explanation:

Given: A population of reproducing guppies quadruples every month.

The population of guppies in the beginning = 6

In First month, the population of guppies =
4*6=24

In Second month, the population of guppies =
4*24=4*4*6=4^2\cdot6=96

Continue like this,

In 6 months, the population of guppies =
4^6\cdot6=24576
