The biogeochemical cycle that does the burning of the fossil fuels is the gaseous cycle because when fossil fuels are burned, carbon dioxide is created. The burning of fossil fuels produces approximately 21.3 gigatonnes of carbon dioxide each year, and it's believed that natural processes are only able to absorb only half that amount.
