There were 6 zebras and 3 tigers at the zoo.

i.e. In zoo,

Number of Zebra = 6

Number of tigers = 3

The ratio of tigers to zebras is express as = number of tigers : number of zebras

\begin{gathered} \text{ ratio of a:b can be express as :} \\ a\colon b=(a)/(b) \end{gathered}

So, the ratio of tigers to zebras is express as:

\begin{gathered} Ratio\text{ of tigers to zebra=}\frac{Number\text{ of tigers}}{Number\text{ of zebras}} \\ Ratio\text{ of tigers to zebra=}(3)/(6) \\ Ratio\text{ of tigers to zebra=}(1)/(2) \\ Ratio\text{ of tigers to zebra=}1\colon2 \end{gathered}

Thus, The ratio of tigers to zebras is 1 : 2

Answer = 1 : 2
