That statement is true

According to the maslow's hierarchy of needs, people's satisfaction in life is not exclusively caused by fulfilling basic needs such as foods, clothes and shelter. The feeling of being valued by others actually place really high in the hierarchy and would most likely help in achieving life satisfaction. Mentoring younger generation could provide this exact feeling.

The statement above is true. Adults who wish to provide something of value to younger generations are generally more satisfied with their lives. Probably because they have already passed through different experiences that they try to satisfy their needs in wants in life. They are satisfied with building relationships with families, good health and financial security.
