(1)/(2) + (4)/(2x) = (x + 4)/(10)

(x)/(2x) + (4)/(2x) = (x + 4)/(10)

(x + 4)/(2x) = (x + 4)/(10)

10(x + 4) = 2x(x + 4)

10(x) + 10(4) = 2x(x) + 2x(4)

10x + 40 = 2x^(2) + 8x

40 = 2x^(2) - 2x

20 = x^(2) - x

0 = x^(2) - x - 20

0 = (x - 5)(x + 4)

0 = x - 5\ or\ 0 = x + 4

5 = x\ or\ -4 = x
