Second graph, showing the solution (2, -6) is the answer. The horizontal line is showing the graph for the equation y = -6 And the other line is showing the graph for the equation 4x + y = 2 If you put (2, -6) in above equation 4(2) + (-6) = 2 8 - 6 = 2 2 = 2 Which satisfies the equation.
