We know the function is a sin wave

y = A sin ( bx+c) +d

A is the amplitude = ( max - min) /2 = ( 2- -2) /2 = 4/2 = 2

b is the period = 2 pi/ b = distance it repeates = 2pi / b = 4 so b = 2pi/4 = pi/2

c is the phase shift = c/b =0 since this is a sin wave and is 0 at 0 and goes up

d is the vertical shift and the wave is not shifted up or down but has a zero midline

y = 2 sin ( pi/2 x)
