1 pound is equivalent to 16 ounces.
You therefore multiply 2.93 pounds by 16 to get
2.93*16= 46.88 ounces

Since 1 pound is equal to 16 ounces, the ratio you should multiply by should be: 1 lb : 16 oz. Given 2.93 pounds, the conversion to ounces is shown below:
2.93 lbs (16 oz / 1 lb) = 46.88 oz.
Therefore, 2.93 pounds is equal to 46.88 ounces.
