y = -2x + 3
2x + 4y = -8

y = -2x + 3
y + 2x = 3

2x + 4y = -8

Subtract those equations
3y = -11
y = -11/3

y = -2x +3
-11/3 = -2x + 3
2x = 3 + 11/3
x = 3/2 + 11/6
x = 20/6
x = 10/3

therefore above lines will intersect in this ( 10/3 , -11/3 ) coordinates
