Answer:

m=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)=(11-3)/(9-1) = 8/8 = 1

Then the interception with y-axis:

y=mx + b

3= 1*1 + b

3-1=b

b=2

The equation is:

y=x+2

If you have line on the scatter plot that is drawn through the points (1,3) and (9,11) then we will first calculate the slope:
m=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)=(11-3)/(9-1) = 8/8 = 1
Then the interception with y-axis:
y=mx+b
3= 1*1 + b
3-1=b
b=2
The equation is:
y=x+2
