well if 2 are defective in 1,500 then do 1,500 / 2 = 750 Then do 24,000/750 = 32

A. 32, because 1500/2 = 750 you would divide 1500 by 2 because only 2 were found defective or that would also mean that one in every 750 didn't work. Sooo you would divide 750 by 24000 (24000/750) to get your answer 32.
