If you have a square, then
-- Its area is the
SQUARE
of the length of its side,and
-- The length of its side is the
SQUARE ROOT
of its area.
That's where these numbers got the names '
square
' and '
square root
'.

,
where a is one side
applying square roots we can find side knowing the area
