-5n-8(1+7n)=8
-5n - 8 - 56n = 8
-61n = 8 + 8
-61n = 16
n = - 16/61
The answer is:
n = -16/61
or
n = -0.2623
.

-5n-8(1+7n)=8
Let's simplify everything.
-5n-8-56n=8
Put the variables on one side and the numbers on the other.
-5n-56n=8+8
Combine like terms.
-61n=16
n=-16/61
