octogon has 8 vertices
to map onto itself, it goes to another vertex
assuming that it is a regular octogon
center=360
each vertex=360/8=45 degrees

therfor it moves 45 degrees to get to next verte which is same

Answer:

The answer is 45 degrees.

Explanation:

The minimum degree of rotation by which this octagon can map onto itself is 45 degrees.

A full rotation is 360°. One eighth of a rotation is
360/8=45 degrees, and each one eighth of a rotation will map a regular octagon onto itself.
