x-\ amount\ of \ yellow\ labs\\\\ y-\ amount\ of\ terriers\\\\ \left \{ {{x+y=18} \atop {x=5y}} \right. \\\\ Substitution\\ 5y+y=18\\ 6y=18\ \ |Divide\ by\ 6\\ y=3\\ x=18-3=15\\\\ There\ are\ 3\ terriers.
