4x - y = 5
(4x - y) + y = 5 + y
4x = y + 5
4x - 5 = (y + 5) - 5
4x - 5 = y

Now that we have formed an easy equation, all we need to do is substitute the answers:

When x = -6
4(-6) - 5 = y
-24 - 5 = y
Y = -29
(–6, –29)

When x = -2
4(-2) - 5 = y
-8 - 5 = y
Y = -13
(–2, –13)

When x = 0
4(0) - 5 = y
0 - 5 = y
Y = -5
(0, –5)

When x = 9
4(9) - 5 = y
36 - 5 = y
Y = 31
(9, 31)

The last answer is the only one that doesn't have the same coordinates as above. The answer is D. (9, 41)
