Keith will rent a car for the weekend. He can choose one of two plans. The first plan has an initial fee of $49.98 and costs an additional $0.14 per mile driven. The second plan has an initial fee of $39.98 and costs an additional $0.18 per mile driven. How many miles would Keith need to drive for the two plans to cost the same?

Answer:

25miles

Explanation:

49.98+0.14t = 39.98+0.18t

-39.98 -39.98

10.00+0.14t = 0.18t

-0.14t -0.14t

10 = 0.4t

25=t
