The last portion of the problem is not making sense (?)

However, if one assumes that the can is a straight circular cylinder, the volume of the can:

V = (PI)[(D/2)^2](H)

Given H = 12 cm, and D = 8 cm, substituting these values:

V = PI[(8/2)^2](12)

= 603.1857 cm^3
