assuming that c2 means c squred or c to second power
sub
x=2(5-2^2)
PEMDAS
parenthasees first
insid there is an exonent
first do that
2^2=4
now we have
x=2(5-4)
simplify
x=2(1)
multiply
x=2
th value of x is 2
