Notice how the description says "a fixed amount plus a fee based on the number of days." And the question only asks for the fixed amount, not including the fee.

For the first rental, they had only been renting but had not kept it for a day yet, so the fee is not added and there is only the cost of the fixed amount for the equipment, which is $5. This shows that when they keep the equipment for a day, the fee is $10 added on each day the equipment is kept.

So, taking away the fee for the numbers of days, the points would be (0,5), (1,10), (2,15). Add on another $10 per day onto the y colomn and you get the table we have here.
