step 1. simplify
-2x = 7
step 2. divide both side by -2
-2x = 7
÷2 ÷2
x = -3.5
The answer for 3x - 5x = 3 + 4 is
x = -3.5

3x - 5x = 3 + 4
Combine like terms
2x = 7
Divide both sides by 2
x = 7/2
