First multiply the denominator by the whole number.
3*4=12
Now add the numerator.
12+2=14
14 is the numerator, denominator stays the same.
You answer is 14/3!

To solve the problem the first step is to multiply the whole number by the fraction's denominator (4 x 3).Add the numerator (2) to the product.

4 * 3 = 12
