6 + 3(x - 5) - ( x + 3) =

it is best to simplify the expression
6 + 3x - 15 - x - 3 =

2x + 6 - 18 =

2x - 12 =

Now we put the value of x = -4

2 * (-4) - 12 = -8 - 12 = -20

2. way

6 + 3*(x – 5) – (x + 3)

immediately we insert a value of x = -4

6 + 3* (-4 -5) - (-4 + 3) =

6 + 3 * (-9) -(-1)=

6 - 27 +1 = -27 + 7 = -20

Aswer D : -20
