THe expression we have is:

(3)/(4)+(5)/(2)

To add the fractions, we need both of them to have the same denominator.

Thus, instead of 5/2, we use the equivalent fraction 10/4 (multiply 5 by 2 and 2 by 2). And now we have:

(3)/(4)+(5)/(2)=(3)/(4)+(10)/(4)

since 3+10 is 13, we get:

=(13)/(4)

Answer: 13/4
