remember the pythagorean theorem?
this is like that
the distance is the hypotnuse

D=
\sqrt{(x2-x1)^(2)+(y2-y1)^(2)}

D=
\sqrt{(8-(-3))^(2)+(-7-4)^(2)}
D=
\sqrt{(11)^(2)+(-11)^(2)}
D=
√(169+169)
D=
√(338)
D=
11√(2)
aprox 15.55 units
