Camouflage
Camouflage is a mechanism used by some animals and consists of the fact that the organism resembles the environment in which they are in order to hide from predators.
The question refers exactly to camouflage:
• In an environment where there are trees with light-colored trunks, light-colored beetles will be able to camouflage themselves and deceive their prey. Also, the population of dark-colored beetles will decrease because their predators will be able to identify them more easily.
Therefore, we can say that in this environment, the population of light-colored beetles will increase.
