The formula for the volume of a square pyramid is V=Bh
Plug in the numbers you are given: 99=B(9.5)
Divide (9.5) from both sides: 99/9.5 = B
You get approximately 10.42105
B= s*s = s^2
So, 10.43=s^2
sqrt 10.43=s

S= approx. 3.22

volume of pyramid is
V=(1/3)LWH
since it is a square pyramid, L=W
V=(1/3)L^2H
H=9.5
V=99

99=(1/3)L^2(9.5)
times 3/1 both sides
297=L^2(9.5)
divide boh sides by 9.5
31.263157894736842105263157894737=L^2
square root both sides
5.5913466977765599922751590799034=L=W

the legnth of each side is 5.5913466977765599922751590799034mm
