The everyday average work-class citizen was affected by the depression the most, especially is they had invested in the stock market and could not pay off the products they bought with an installment plan. If they went to the bank to take out their money, they would have found that the banks had invested the patron's money and lost it in the stock market as well and which caused the banks to fail. People who were unemployed were unable to pay bills and soon were evicted from their homes and had to sell all of their belongings.
