1. Expand2x−14=10x+18
2. Subtract 2x from both sides−14=10x+18−2x
3 Simplify 10x+18−2x to 8x+18−14=8x+18
4. Subtract 18 from both sides−14−18=8x
5. Simplify −14−18 to −32−32=8x
6. Divide both sides by 8−328 = x
7. Simplify 328 to 4−4 = x−4 = x
8. Switch sidesx = −4
