original-amount drained after 2 minutes=30
original- amount drained after 5 minutes=12
5-2=3
30-12=18
therefor
3 minutes=18 gallons drained
divide 3
1minute=s6 gallons draine
find original
30+2mins=origninal
30+2*6=original
30+12=original=42
so
y=42-6x
