X milliliters (=X/1000 liters) of a 0.171M solution contain 0.171*X/1000 moles of NaCl.
0.171*X/1000 moles of NaCl = 58.3*0.171*X/1000 g = 1 g (as given)
58.3*0.171*X/1000 = 1
