D=ratespeed x Timehr

D/T = Rate of Speed

1hr=60 min. or 1hr/60min

1hr. x 34min = .567 hr
-----
60min

Now: 4mile/.567 = 7.06 mile/hr = rate of speed

Check:

34/60x 7.0 = 4.00
