We calculate the area of a rectangle with the equation

A = LW*1/2
A = The area of a rectangle
L =
the height of the triangle
W = the base of the triangle

If the equation is one unknown to solve them quickly .
A = 128sq.ft
L = ?
W = 2L

substitute values into the formula

A = L * W *1/2
128sq.ft = Lft. * (2Lft) *1/2
128 = L
²
L = √128 = 8√2

W = 2L = 2*8
√2 = 16√2
