In a pet store there are a total of 25 animals; 15 of the animals are dogs. Determine the ratio of animals that are NOT dogs to the total animals in the store. (do NOT simplify)

if theres 25 animals in total and 15 of them are dogs then theres 10 animals left

Solution

For this case we know that the total of animals are 25

We also know that 15 are dogs

The the number of NOT dogs are:

25-15= 10

And if we want to find the ratio of animals that are NOT dogs to the total animals we got:


(10)/(25)
