Geno had a gift card for $40. He bought a DVD for $19.50. He spent the remaining amount on two video games. To find the cost of each video game, he used the following steps.
40.00 - 19.50 = 20.50
20.50 ÷ by 2 = 10.25
each video cost

Geno now wants to write an equation to solve the problem. He let g = cost of a video game.

Which equation can be used to find the cost of each video game?
A. 2g = 19.5
B. 2g + 40 = 19.5
C. 2g –19.5 = 40
