First multiply five times two, which equals ten. Then, multiply four times zero which equals zero. Finally add four and you get fourteen.

5w - 4w + 4 = 14
5x2 -4x0 +4 =14

First combine the like terms 5w and -4w to get just w.
so now the problem looks like:

w + 4= 14

subtract 4 from each side now. and you get the answer:

w = 10
