Step 1: Observed the right-angled triangle and right out the parameters

\begin{gathered} \text{From the right-angled triangle with reference to angle x} \\ \text{opposite is unknown} \\ \text{adjacent is 4.6} \\ \text{hypothenuse is 8.6} \end{gathered}

Step 2: State the trigonometry that will suit the given parameters

\sin ce\text{ adjacent and hypothenuse is given, we use cosine property}
\begin{gathered} \cos x=(4.6)/(8.6) \\ \cos x=0.53488 \end{gathered}
\begin{gathered} x=\cos ^(-1)0.53488 \\ x=57.66^0 \\ x=57.7^0(nearest\text{ tenth)} \end{gathered}

Hence, x is 57.7°
